Dulce and Karime are two lovely sisters, who came to Casa Hogar in September 1999. Dulce was seven, and Karime was six. Casa Hogar and the children of Albergue Casa Hogar lost another key supporter in 2016: Larry McCormick. He was International Chair for Rotary in Alpine; needing an international project, he connected with Teda Neill. The first project for ACH was Rotary providing new shoes for all the children. When you buy items to be taken into Mexico, please leave all tags attached and include all receipts, or a copy. This helps with the border crossing hassle. The value allowed per person varies from week to week; the usual maximum is $150; this helps the volunteers avoid paying “duties” on things taken into Mexico.
